Why Adoption Fees?

Our adoption fees provide a portion of the costs that can accrue in caring for and housing the homeless animals who come through our doors. Fees also help subsidize medical care and evaluation of the animals. There are many many expenses associated with pets. We do not make a profit. We require funds to continue rescuing animals and doing what is necessary to find each and every animal the right home for a long and happy life!

Application for a pet at Pet Adoption League

Before adopting a dog or cat from our shelter, we require some information from you for approval. When you come into the shelter, we will ask you to fill out an application with questions about your history with animals and your intentions to provide a new home for another furry family member.

Our application is not on our website, because we prefer to get to know at the shelter you while you hang out with us and answer questions. We will provide the application to you when you come into the shelter. Our intent is to find the best home for every animal in our care, and we find that getting to know you includes this process.

We will never approve anyone by phone. If you would like to adopt an animal from Pet Adoption League, please come into the shelter during our open hours, listed at the bottom of each page.
